The Wedding

Through the ages, men have been trying to unlock this mystery:

Why do their wives, who accept them just as they are before they get
married, begin the quest to change their behaviour and life-style once
their vows are exchanged?

Finally, the riddle is solved.

A social-scientist has arrived at this simple and logical explanation.
When the bride, accompanied by her father, starts to walk slowly down
the long aisle, she sees the altar at the end and hears the choir
singing a hymn. Walking down the aisle, the conditioning process starts
where the brain absorbs these three stimuli:

Aisle, altar, and hymn.

She becomes mesmerized as she continually reinforces these
perceptions:

Aisle, altar, hymn……Aisle, altar, hymn……Aisle, altar, hymn.

And finally, as she stops beside the groom, the conditioning process is
complete. She looks up at him smiling sweetly and keeps saying to herself:

'I'll alter him!’

Absolutely agree.

If he is good enough to marry he should be left as is.

Women always want what they want until they get it... then its not good enough and surely changing it will make them want it again... until they do.... and then... the cycle begins again.

Sadly knowing the truth doesn't help any of us out here.

My best advice is to buy a motorcycle after she has strictly forbid it. That will buy you a couple months where shes so pissed she won't even talk to you.

I like the bike, but I LOVE the silence!

LMAO!!!! called the bike shop today to schedule an appointment for my bike. Got off the phone, my wife scowled at me and asked, "what are you getting the bike fixed for?"

Let the silent treatment begin.

Lynda doesn't scowl or give me the silent treatment. When I bought the Silver Wing she just said she will be worried about the other drivers out there. That and the fact that I might be getting too old to ride safely. Time will tell. Hopefully I'm good for another 2 or 3 years of riding safely. After that diminishing eye sight, strength and coordination will take it's toll. Ride while you can and have fun.
