Largest possible tires for gz250

I'm sure this has been asked but I want to add a bit of height to the old girl and was wondering what the absolute largest tires the gz will take. I'm unconcerned about the front fender as I'm building a custom bracket for a chopper fender anyway. My goal is to simply increase overall height. The larger and fatter the better. Was looking at tracker tires but couldn't find any reliable information regarding our bike. If this question annoys anyone I apologize, I look forward to any helpful comments. Changing tire size is also going to essentially change your gearing. If you go too big, you're just not going to be happy with the seemingly decreased power.

If ride height is what you're after, I would suggest just getting some elongated rear shocks. That'll lift up the rear while still keeping a factory profile.

If, after all that is said and done, you still want a taller tire, then you'll be able to add one. As it is, there isn't a whole lot of space under that rear fender

Thanks so much. I'm actually going to rip off the rear fender as well. Buddy of mine owns a custom bike shop and had a few pre built café tails that we're going to mig into the rear frame. Effectively giving the rear tire an extra 3 or so inches of top space. May seem like a lot of work for the gz but I have a plan (sorta) and know what I want. Thanks again for your advice

No problem.

With unlimited tire space, you're only going to be limited by width, really.
I have a tire thread on here somewhere recommending all of the factory tire sizes available and even providing links or references to instances where someone successfully tried out an alternative tire size. That might be of some help to you and it shouldn't be too hard to find.

If you go that big you will be looking for a smaller sprocket on the front.
