New to me

Bought her stock, wrapped pipes, blacked out alot of it, added drag bars, saddle bags.

planning on taller handlbars, solo seat/chopping rear off, and putting a sportster tank on it htis winter

Paint

Since I only bought the bike for $800 I haven't been very afraid of tearing it up and painting it.

I actually just used high heat spray paint to black out the engine and exhaust.

Cool, which paint did you use? Did you follow a tutorial for the painting process? (trying to do the same thing on my bike, so any information on the process helps)

No tutorial, I just held a piece of cardboard behind items I was spraying to avoid overspray. Any black high heat paint should work. Just make sure what ever you are painting is wiped down and clean of road grime and oils so the paint adheres well.

This is a very old thread so you may not get an answer from the original poster.

As for the bags I will offer a suggestion. They just might be repurposed back packs.
