New to the gz250

Hellow fellow Gravity Freeks I've been looking at the gz250 for about 18 months on and off and found a 2002 with 1197.3 miles for $1100 and thought it was a steal as it looks and runs showroom new with the exception of weeping fork seals and I might be be going throught the carb as I can tell it's never been off , it still running great after 10 years with the gas we have now is unbelevable. I need to at least drop the bowl and have a look. I'm retired now and have rode on the street since 1975 I have more miles on bikes than in cars, my background includes 10+years as a honda/yamaha tec mostly tranys and electrical cause everybody else at the shops hate those jobs but they pay good and of course carbs, carbs, and more carbs. ams fa18 navy(Retired) . 8+years as a production machinst/forging ect.
Anyway after riding the gz 50 miles I decided to give it to my wife for her birthday and I'm going to buy another for myself when I find another low mile deal.

Robert

Hellow back Robert. Glad to have you aboard. Sounds like a great deal on the bike.

Your background will be a definite plus for the forum members. Quite a few of the members have past experience that helps keep the bikes running well and you can just add your expertise to the collective. Hope your wife likes the bike.
