Beginners video to ponder

This one is for the beginners. It only takes one screw up to go down. What happened here?

Discuss.

Re: Beginners video to ponder

It looks to me like he panicked and locked the front brake. :??:

Re: Beginners video to ponder

riding fast.....
sees the truck swerving left so checks right shoulder to go right "around" the truck.........
ignores the flourescent yellow flagman......
truck cuts across to make the right turn and there's no time left and nowhere to go (but down).

The opposite of defensive driving.

Re: Beginners video to ponder

Also the split second he checked something interesting at the gas station, he should have kept his eyes on the road just then.

I caught myself doing that today, looking at something to the side, and remember thinking "Keep your eyes on the road, stupid :cuss: ".

I also think he locked his front brake, so that's two screw ups in a row.

Google Chrome doesn't like it. Firefox does.
