Rough running

Had my gz for almost a year now with no troubles however in the last couple of weeks the bike starts fine(without choke) and as you ride it awhile (10-15 min) it starts to sputter out-help

Check air cleaner and spark plug. How old is your gas? Might try Seafoam to clean tank and carb. If a gas filter has been added, check it. Also check the filter in the petcock. Pull the plug on the drain hose coming from airbox to drain out build-up. Check vacum hose on petcock for leak.

Is the choke actually working? Have you checked it at the carb. It sounds like the cable may be broken and the choke is on all the time.

Yep.

It is very rare that these bikes will start without choke. As your bike always been like this?

Yes the bike always starts right up with no choke on somewhat warm (above 45 degrees)-choke does work-cable is not broken

Thumbs Up Rough running

Happy to hear that your bike is running better. Still would not hurt to run seafoam thru the gas tank from time to time. It will keep your bike running well. Easy to do and does not cost that much.

That works good. Alot of motorcycle riders do not use and then wonder why the are having issues. I get alot of free lawn mowers, edgers, weed-eaters, etc. because of bad gas or plugged carbs. Takes about 5mins. to fix. I wind up giving them to new home owners or renters that need them, but do not have the money to buy them. I enjoy working on them and helping people out. As I said before, Glad you got your bike running. Enjoy the ride.
