My '09 GZ with new Accessories

I just got my Windshield, Engine Guard, and Sissy Bar on. I made the driver backrest with direction from the 'how to' section. It was quite easy. I shopped for the other parts on the internet and bought them all from indysuperbikes.com (a local company). Got 'em quick and they gave me the best price even with sales tax included. I am still waiting for my 16 tooth sprocket. Any suggestion for further upgrade would be appreciated. Sorry about her being dirty. I couldn't wait to ride with the new parts.

I love that Drivers backrest, what did you do the metal work with?

Very nicely done. Nice big crash bars that will save the bike on an oops kinda day. Drivers backrest looks just right too. Excellant start to a small touring machine. :2tup: :2tup:

I found the how to and had a shop take a 4 x 8.75 x 1/4 and bend it for me with their break press. I cut it like a piece of granite tile with my fabrication tools (I accumulated as a tile setter). I set the depth on the saw to score the bottom of the 'S' then broke almost every bit in my harbor freight dremel tool kit to clean it up. I then used a drill with countersink to cut the screw holes. To finish, I used a variable speed grinder with pad and 220 grit hook n loop sand paper and then clear coated it. I enjoyed working with a new medium and may do something else creative if inspired.

That's a 2 year old thread so you may not get an answer.

If you're not sure, then check the date that appears at the BOTTOM of the author's details, at the left hand side. :2tup:
