Buzzing?

Anyone else get a "resonant" type of buzz at around 45 mph? I don't notice it all the time, but usually happens after I've been riding a while... Normal for a GZ?

IT is normal to get a "buzz"somewhere in the power band, usually at higher revs.I found it all but disappeared when I installed 16t sprocket.

Re: Buzzing?

Totally normal. It's harmonic and has to do with the chain and sprockets. Try oiling your chain or changing sprockets if it's bothering you. I personally got used to it after a little bit of worrying and then figured out it was normal.

Re: Buzzing?

The noise will probably be louder when riding with a concrete barrier on your left side. My Vstrom is loud as all get out but nothing is out of spec. We tend to forget that we are out in the open with all the noises right up close and personal. In a cage we are so insulated we come to expect it from other forms of transport.

Re: Buzzing?

i had a mirror buzzing the glue was wearing off that held the mirror into the housing, it may or may not be normal depending on the noise, make sure you chain guard is tight also

none of us can hear this buzzing to actually say what you are hearing.
