Re: Motorcycle of the Future

It looks cool. What is the advantage/purpose of reducing/expanding the wheelbase?

Re: Motorcycle of the Future

Other than needing a smaller parking spot it looks like a black hole for your money.

Jonathan, I'm guessing one of your favorite things is getting ripped off? That guy wants the equivalent of $44,000 for an electric bicycle.

Re: Motorcycle of the Future

 He didn't say he was buying one, just a fav of his. $44 US big ones would buy and run a new Civic for years.

Find me an electric bicycle that can go that fast...

Yeah $44,000 is absurd. But like anything, once a tecnology or a product is accepted into the market, and other people start making an equivalent product, then price goes down. Not saying that's going to happen, but that doesn't mean it's not cool.

Re: Motorcycle of the Future

The original post video actually shows several vehicles, each with a little different configuration. The last two seem to be about the same. As best I can tell, there are three wheels, and when it elongates, the middle wheel moves forward and the other two move together to act as one. So, it turns from a Segway that you sit on into a motorbike (or maybe a motorcycle depending on where you live and its performance capabilities).

Maybe it's just me, but I find something, er, symbolic? about the middle wheel stretching out from between the other two round objects. Maybe that's part of the appeal.
