Easiest thing right now is to put the petcock on prime and see if fuel comes out. If not, there's the problem. You might have to empty the tank, turn it upside down, put a tube on the petcock and blast some air through it. Or just remove it and blow air through it if you're ambitious. :poke2:

Yeah, I'm going to open it up when I'm feeling better and see if its the head or valves. If its the head I'll get it machined, but if it's the valves I don't even know where to find those haha but I'll do my best

Oh man... you're my hero. I've been looking everywhere for that stuff because the shop my bike was at machined the head so it's either a valve or valve spring issue. This should save me about $1250! 2002-2007 GZ250's have the same parts, right?

Nevermind, they have 2007 GZ250 on the website. Some sites don't have one past 2006... But thanks again for the link, you saved me a lot!

Use that fiche parts finder for just about everything in the future. If nothing else, you can cross reference part numbers and shop around. They aren't always the cheapest, but it doesn't matter. The parts diagrams alone give an immeasurable value.

And for future reference, yeah. The parts are all the same. The years don't really matter.

Alright thanks! And I ran into another problem, idk if you can help me out, but I got the engine out of my bike and I have all the screws out to pull the cylinder head cover off, but there's some blue crap the mechanic put on most likely to seal it... and I can't get the cover off. Any suggestions?
