Re: Average MPG.....?

When I rode my GZ in town and on state highways at 55 mph I got right at 70 mpg +- 4mpg. I took one trip to Atlanta on I-75 and kept it wide open pretty much the entire way, sometimes I might hit mid to upper 70's (mph) going down a grade and sometimes I might drop back to 55 mph or so going up one, but my mileage went way down, dropped to the low 50's if I remember correctly.

Re: Average MPG.....?

Mmmmmmmmm cruising at about 55 to 60 mph on the autopista, I seem to get a slightly better mileage than slower speed, stop/start riding I do otherwise.

Re: Average MPG.....?

I get 75 mpg mostly. I've gotten as low as 70 mpg but that was only a couple of times. My driving and the bike seem to be constant.

Re: Average MPG.....?

Thanks for the replies all! I really appreciate it. As soon as I get to the point of actually needing some gas, I plan on doing the whole trip meter trick and seeing what kind of mileage I am actually pulling. As soon as I have that figure, I will post it.

AZ Kev

UPDATE : 06.04.10 - Finally had to put some gas in my bike - looks like I went about 210 miles on 3 gallons, which by my math equals right about 70mpg. All I can say is SWEET!!!

I ride a GZ 125 btw.
I thought you were pulling our legs with the GZ125, so I did a search, and by God, there IS such a thing!

The GZ125 is probably quite common everywhere but North America.

Re: Average MPG.....?

I ride my 250 pretty hard in very diverse conditions... from putting around town to county roads to the interstate at full throttle, and it's always pretty much right what the salesguy told me to expect - 65mpg, +/-5.

Don't push to hard on the interstate. The G.Z. is tough but will only take so much.
