choke cable disconnected?

Hello. I went to start my bike today and it seems like the choke isn't working. I can turn the adjuster very easily. Makes me think the cable disconnected. Any ideas on how to fix this? First bike and I haven't done motorcycle work before.

First, unscrew it at the carb end, and see if you can pull the inner. It may be a broken cable. Try the simple things first.

Unscrew the little cap on the carb and pull a little on the cable. A little piston with a pin on the end should slide out. If it's broken you might need to get a screw extractor in there to get it out.

choke cable disconnected?

I had the opposite problem of you, my choke control got gummed up. I would agree with them, I'd start by looking at where the choke plunger goes into the carb on the left side of the bike. My problem was partially a kinked, rusty spring maybe yours is broken or something? Here's a video of me messing with mine. I always like to see things in motion to help me understand
