Same as car check points. Just have your crap the way it should be and it doesn't matter. The reason they are good revenue makers is because so many people are skirting by without the proper stuff. I was pulled over last fall at a stop/check point where they were just checking for valid MC licenses (endorsement, I guess, in the Excited States). They said about a third of those riding had no such license. I'm glad to have them off the road. They also go on truck check blitzes where they check for working brakes, etc. About 1/2 the trucks inspected are towed off the road every time, usually for bad brakes. Seems a couple of people die every year around here because they are hit by a runaway truck. I enjoy chatting with the Popo when I get stopped at a road check, 'cause I'm sober, I'm licensed, and my vehicles are roadworthy.

Cayuse, safe, sober and licensed is the only way to ride. Around here I will thank the LEOs for being out there because I know most of them would rather be out riding their own bike.

Sure am glad i got a real "MC" endorsement on my license. I got pulled over at Sturgis this year after "taking off to fast from the stoplight" . It was after dark and I was trying to get past the huge RV in my left lane and catch my buddy before I lost him in the crowd of bikes...but certainly didn't burn rubber when I took off. Didn't help that is was after dark and I didn't see the cop in the SUV right behind me :roll:

Glad I had all my i's dotted and t's crossed, proof of insurance and drivers license and current tags, etc. No ticket - whew!! Just a warning...but if i had no endorsement for motorcycles - i bet i would have gotten in some trouble.

I did sell my GZ250 - and bought a bigger bike to bobber around on- a Vulcan 800. Pretty much followed the same formula for bobbing that I did on my GZ. That's all I really wanted - a bigger bobber...(400 miles to Sturgis on the 250 would have taken too long

hi realise this is quite an old forum. you bike looks ace, however on earth did you do the back fender? It looks like you cut and turned around? i don't suppose you have any pics at all?
