I can relate to that. Removed the plastic AFTER the Vstrom battery was beyond help.

Oh, so sad. I cannot even imagine giving up my "Singer". Yes, named after the sewing machine. And, yes, I know I am a total dork for having so named her, or at all. Whatever! (Whew! THAT whole talk amongst myself was exhausting.) Anyway, people wonder why I hold on to the bike with my other two and I just can't explain it. I love that little beast.

Well, I'm down to two, and I think that's about right. Both easy to maintain, easy to ride, and fun! If I've got one apart on a really nice day, I can ride the other one.

Re: Welp, sold my GZ last night

I've got 2 Harleys and I dont see myself getting rid of the GZ anytime soon. As long as it keeps on being dependable, I use it daily for running around town and my daily 2 mile commute to work. Plus its always available for friends to borrow when there bikes are broke. Ive already had 2 people take there road test on it. Its costing me next to nothing to keep it on the road and I know I'de be sorry if I got rid of it.
