Parts compatibility/aftermarket items/accessories?

I don't think this has been detailed anywhere else before, but I think it would be nice to have one location for all the aftermarket parts that people have found for the bike, and/or parts that are made for other bikes that are compatible without modification to the GZ (excluding uinversal-fit type of stuff). For example, I know that MC Enterprises makes a couple of items specifically for the GZ. Here's a rack, saddlebag brackets, and engine guard: http://www.mcenterprisesusa.com/product ... chForm.cfm

I'm mostly thinking about accessories like these, but does anybody have anything else? I'm currently looking around for floorboards (passenger and driver), but I want something that slips right in the OEM mounting brackets, so that's one reason I thought this would be a good idea. I also figured this would help to minimize the number of posts on this board about accessories for the GZ.

GZ Stuff

There ain't much out there brother. A few universal, Savage 650, and Marauder 800 things work. Check Kuryakyn. Usually Marauder 800 pegs will fit. (NO PROMISES) Make sure you can return anything you order!! http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.asp

I have yet to find a seat replacement, and thats the weakest area on the GZ. Makes your ass ache after about 50 miles.

Here is where I got my LED taillight. It's from a Marauder 800

Clear Tail Light Lenses & LED options

http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_c ... Id=&mmyId=
There are clear tail lenses and LED tail light options that are direct replacement.

.

Also of note, most modern Suzuki cruisers use the same turn signal lenses

Air Filter

K&N # SU-5589 is a direct drop in replacement for the standard filter. It's important to note that you will almost certianly need to adjust your jetting.

EDIT:
Here is a second option, submitted by Music_Man

Hiflo - Part # HFA 3503

Any afermarket filter that fits either the GS500 or the Marauder 800 will work on this bike.

I just recently came across this little gem. It only costs about $26 and Uni is a good quality brand.

Barends & Handlebars

We have 7/8" handlears. As such, all 7/8 bar accessories will work. This includes barend weights (barends) and replacement bars and any other accessories you can imagine.

Sprockets & Chains

There are a few companies that make replacement sprockets for the bike. JT Sprockets used to have some but they have discontinued them. Sprocket Specialists also sell front and rear sprocket. Also, there is a factory Suzuki part number for an OEM front sprocket but that number eludes me right now.

Front sprockets are available in sizes from 13 teeth - 16 teeth. The factory size is 15 teeth.

This information comes via an older post by Jaime:

It was used in the GN/DR 400 1980-1982. You may buy it at any Suzuki dealer.

Our bike uses a 520/110 chain. The size being a 520 and being 110 links long.
Any 520/110 chain will work. I prefer O-rings.

Floorboards by GadzooksMike

Gadzooks Mike did a write up on floorboards once. They turned out pretty nicely:
Others have done the same.

Exhaust

There are no aftermarket exhaust options available.

So, if you want a different exhaust note or look you only have a couple of options.

1. You can drill holes in the rear plate on your muffler.
2. You can install an aftermarket universal muffler.
3. You can have something custom made.

1.

2.

3.

With any significant exhaust change you will be leaning out your fuel/air mixture. So it will be likely that you will need to rejet your carb accordingly, if you want your bike to run properly.
