You should just clean your spark plug. Should be just fine. You could just get a rebuild kit for your peacock. That way you have the reserve position available. Your choice.

Be sure to get all the fuel out and, of course, replace your oil filter.

You might also have the float in your carb hanging up or out of adjustment.
