Fender modificatios

Here are a few pictures of my modified fenders that took me about two hours today. I like the bobber look with no fenders but realized that other than a run up to the local watering hole, it was kind of impracticable for everyday driving. So I cut and modified the original fenders. A post from a member “seventigers” shows a good way to get started. And he’s right about after cutting. The plastic melted back so it is like taking model pieces apart after you cut it. I have to finish them but I have a good start. I can have them off or on in about 15 minutes. This way, I can go for a ride out in the county and not get sandblasted but then take them off and cruz downtown at 15 mph and just look bad. Best of all....cost $0!

Not a bad look. The chopped fenders and no decals makes the engine stand out and look larger.

Wow that looks great! You did a really good job. The bike looks a lot "lighter" that way.

Thanks yall. Might try to lower the rear a bit more or drop the shocks a bit. Work in progress. I think I do like it better with fenders!
