Re: Vacuum line size Help

yup Blaine... you are right, that I know, that is the only vacuum line. the connector stayed in place ( for a while that is ) , however, about to ride home from the city tonight and 2 blocks away, stalled, checked, and the connector was out, the streets of Manhattan are harsh and I need to fix it for good. It amazes me how, something so small becomes such a headache.... Can't find the part in the diagram... that sucks... any opinions are welcome as you guys help and know a lot... thanks

Ok How about this.......Remove the carb & use a small drill bit to enlarge the hole so you can insert a slightly larger nipple.??

Good thing he didn't immediately seal that hole with epoxy or something.

Re: Vacuum line size Help

There are enough little plastic pipes and tubes around (i.e. soda straws/pens/toys - dollar store?), plastic hose from the hardware/aquarium store), so now the trick is to find one that just fits snug on that nipple, plastic glue it (after cleaning) so the vacuum hose has a little more tube to fit on, that's all I can think of now...

Re: Vacuum line size Help

Thanks 5th Bike, took it to another shop, I have to replace the Diaphragm and the ring, and to do so they have to remove the carb and they also told me they would make a fix for that nipple. To me is kind of weird that that part itself is not sold, perhaps is attached to the carburetor. I need to keep reading more and study more to be able to do this stuff by myself. The Bike runs great though... Thanks for the help, and the idea of the plastic hose, pen, straw, is pretty good... but since I am going to pay this one time.. let's see how they fix it... will keep u posted... waiting for the parts to arrive...

Vacuum line size Help

Hey guys... Finally vacuum line fixed... The black little part on top of the carb was kind of messed up. So this is the final result... It is the blue hose.
