Re: speed for my GZ

I do 60-65 mph regularly as well (unless I hit rushhour). I take it to-and-from work (18 miles each way). No problems so far for me either other than a regularly sore right hand and thumb from the vibration.

You could probably cure that with Grip Puppies and a Throttle Rocker. I have the GP and a rocker that is adjustable with a velcro band. Actually both bikes have rockers on both sides, left and right. Less hand fatigue and less vibration makes a ride much nicer. Your wrists will not work as hard or feel as much vibration either. Actually a small investment for comfort. Check out Californiasporttouring.

Thanks for the recommendation! I saw this too late. Doh! Just picked up a pair of Universal ISO Grips from Kuryakyn (part #6241). Got 'em of the infamous eBay for $45 which I figured was a decent price (new and unused). Am hoping they'll provide more comfort than the standard GZ grips. I guess at a minimum they'll certainly provide more styling!

I haven't looked into rockers at all. Thanks for mentioning! I'll see if these ISO grips work out first, but if not, see if a rocker will help ease the fatigue and vibration as well.

You might also try a twist assist. It is a mechanical cruise control you mount to your throttle. Works great.

Re: speed for my GZ

I have the Kuryakin grips. Better than stock grips, but I still get some numbness during long rides.

Re: speed for my GZ

I think it depends on the size of your hands. For a bloke, I seem to have small hands/wrists, & the GZ grips are a perfect size for me.
