Rust at the seaside?

I happen to live at the sea side and the bike has a few scratchs and dings that last time i noticed are getting a bit too rusty for comfort. Theyre mainly on the exhaust but a few others here and there. Is there a paint or goo-type product that you can apply to permanantly protect it or is regular cleaning enough? Thanks

Regular cleaning and a good wax every now and then.
There is only so much you can do against mother nature.
Salt sucks.
