NEW TO FORUM. 2005 BOBBER PICS

Just want to say thanks for all the info I have found thru the forums on this site. It is nice to see so many people who enjoy riding, even if its not a BIG bike. I purchased my 2005 GZ250 in November of 2012. It had 16k miles on it, totally stock. From then until now, she has gone thru quite a change. It's nice when you pull up to a bunch of Harley guys and they stop to check out your bike. Everyone thinks it's much bigger than it is. I will post some pictures of her soon. If anyone has any questions on what I did, or how it was done, I will be more than happy to tell.

Re: NEW TO FORUM. 2005 BOBBER PICS

Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to add two pics at the same time. Not very computer literate. Anyway. Personally did all work to bike.
Revamped 3 baffle exhaust with chrome turn down.
Removed rear springs and installed solid bars. Lowered about 2"
Harley front signals, customer rear signals and tail/stop.
Seat made from scratch. Springs purchased
Drag bars $60 Ebay
Cut speedo mount and raised 1"
Re-jet carb
Removed air box and UNI filter installed
Cut down and re-shaped front fender to fit on rear.
DRANK LOTS OF BEER AND HAD LOTS OF FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha

For real, that's nice work. The little attention to detail on the some of the painted parts really set it apart.

I don't see how the front of your seat attaches. In one photo it looks like it's off center and in the other it just looks like it's floating magically in space.

Well done, man.

Thanks for the kind words. Like I said, LOTS OF BEER! I learned a lot by reading whats in here, and thank you. I actually welded in a cross support behind the tank and one where I cut the rear seat mount frame off. I'll add some pics today. Thanks again!

Here's one. The front has a cross mount welded in. 1/4"x1/2" flat steel bent into a Z welded behind the tank.

Also, you can host the images at any of the many image hosting sites out there in the interwebs and just link in the image code

Like this:

[ img ]WHATEVER YOU WANT TO PUT IN HERE AS AN IMAGE [ / img ]

(No spaces)

This saves site bandwidth and you can put as many pictures as you want.
