You have to be careful though. Just because a station advertises that it's gas is 100% ethanol free does not mean that it is. The quickest test is to ask an attendant where their gas comes from. Most of them will say "Well, it's Chevron gas, which is ethanol free." This is false. Chevron does no produce or distribute ethanol free fuel. There are testing kits, if you really care about it. Even ethanol free fuel will contain cleaners, but it's always a good idea, in a vehicle and an engine as picky with the carb as the GZ is, to add an aftermarket cleaner every couple of tank fulls.
Interesting article here about ethanol and its potential damaging effects on engines and the pocket!:

Re: Gasoline in general

You guys are just now getting diluted fuel? I thought it was everywhere...

Anyway, the article's point is spot on. Ethanol, as a fuel, contains fewer BTUs per gallon. There simply isn't the same amount of energy in ethanol as there is in gasoline. And replacing 10% of the energy from a gallon of fuel with a weaker substitute results in less power and ultimately fewer miles per gallon at the same time. It's also slightly more expensive. So, pay more for a fuel that doesn't go as far and doesn't give the same amount of "umph"?.... What the hell?

I'm all for clean exhaust and emissions too, but not at the expense of fuel economy and increased prices... I can at least see why we did it in our country, as we were giving our farmers subsidies and paying them money to grow this stuff. However, even that was a double sided sword, because the type of corn grown strictly for fuel purposes isn't even edible by cattle, we we were essentially paying them to grow fuel, not even a backup food source.

The ethanol experiment in the US is well documented as being generally a failure... The system they have in Brazil, where I believe 80-90% of the countries fuel comes from sugar cane, makes sense, because it is viable to their market, their pocket books and their population size. But to use the best farm land in the world to make shitty ethanol additives and fuels just doesn't make sense... Why don't we just subsidize regular farm products, if we want to give people incentives to farm?... It blows my mind.

This article (from one of the reactions to the British article) shows that ethanol production cannot even be called "sustainable":

I'm starting to wonder what the purpose is of all the scamming. First MTBE in our gas, then ethanol.

Jon also thanks for the 'good gas' station site, but in Maryland they only sell good gas on the Eastern Shore.
Here, it's too close to DC.... :retard:

Berrymans b12 & SeaFoam are the two most popular ones to use.

Re: Gasoline in general

Berryman's is the best for carb cleaning and keeping it clean and is 1/3 the price of Seafoam (about$3 as opposed to $10), Seafoam was also recommended as a fuel stabilizer but Stabil and Starbrite and related products labeled as such are better, But Jonathan uses and likes MMO, so you pay your money and you take your choice. Just use one in the recommended dose of 1 oz/gal of gas every 3 or 4 tankfulls and you won't have any carb issues.

Over here, I can't get carb cleaner, so I use a "fuel additive". Works fine, and is around the equivalent of $1 a bottle.

Re: Gasoline in general

Alan. I use this from Alcampo, which seems to work well, but I think I paid about 5 Euros. Your is cheap, where did you buy it?
