2000 Suzuki Katana 600

Here she is, fellas. Clickable thumbnails:

It has an aftermarket Wileyco exhaust. Never heard of them, but a few Google searches seem to suggest that while they're a cheaper exhaust, they're a good deal for the money.

Wow! That is one really purty bike. Sounds good without being overly loud. Now just in case you forgot. Baby steps, baby steps.

Re: 2000 Suzuki Katana 600

Yea. To be honest, it doesn't seem much more powerful than my KZ. Of course, I haven't really opened her up yet. But, the Kats only pull low 12s in the 1/4 mile, while the KZ550 pulls upper 12s. Either way, I'm not a squid. If I wanted speed, I would have just gone with a supersport. Went with the Kat because its a peppy bike without having more power than I realistically need. I'm looking forward to getting some ride time this coming week.

My Nelson-Rigg saddlebags look much better on this bike than my KZ, too.

Congratulations Primal on the new ride. I rode a Katana several years back and they are lots of fun. By the way, I lived in Lincoln Co most of my younger life and really miss those hills.

They are fun to ride but watch the speed, it will be there before you know it.

I agree with everyone else, be careful, drive using the 12 second rule. My XS650 is scary fast and I make a point to drive it like it's my GZ. Enjoy!
