First time this has ever happened to me

Parked in my usual spot at home. Who ever said those damn grocery bags floating along the side of the road
were just useless trash harming the environment?!
I tied my broken bits up and got this home

You can see how when the bolt sheered that the cable ripped through the arm bending it all to H E double
tooth picks.

The brake swingarm fell down and started rubbing on the tire at freeway speed.
Even though I pulled over fast you can see it was already effecting the tire.

Cable is pretty bent up too.
I'm just glad this whole thing didn't lock up on me.... Southwest freeway at rush hour is a great way to
get splattered by an unlicensed and uninsured driver.

On the plus side.
I took it out this morning on one brake and filled it up....
Got 78.26 mpg this fillup.

SPLDART ducks the reprimands for riding while brake crippled.

If you have to ride brake challenged the front would be my vote for a working brake.

From the looks of the damage you can easily fix the bike without going broke. Gotta be a lot easier than fixing a broken arm, leg and road rash.

Bike fixed. Using junk parts off of a Kawasaki and a Yamaha.
So Piccolo is now a Suzamaki.
Just need to find a Honda part to work in and I'll have a YamaHondaKawaZuki.

whaooou!!!!! Glad that You are ok! And yes that is fixable; -) I think that I would have startet to smoke again after that sight, did just that after blowing the front tire right side on my Rover 3500 at a 170 Kmt in a soft curve on a highway. The tire dit not flaten, but blew the track of and left the side and sholders on it. I do not recolect if I did smoke two at once ore..... Scarry
