just wanted to say hello, and RC helicopter thread .....

i am alive and well, hope every one is doing well, finally some nice bike riding weather and some good rc helicopter flying weather, that is my new passion and i am doing quite well at it. i have also been having a lot of fun riding my bike.

check this out, i am pretty proud of my self. i have had this thing up on the air about 40 times and it has wrecked about 40 times, fortunately parts are only a few bucks a peice. but one day i took it up in the air and it stayed up in the air. lots of fun, what a great hobby and once you get good it's not all that expensive any more lol

Re: just wanted to say hello, havent been on here in a whil

Hi Danny,

yes, it's a total ripoff of the Align machine, but it's darn cheap. I've been flying heli's on and off since the 80's and this one is the first that hasn't scared me away from going inverted (due to the small investment compared to my .60-size nitro). Here's a fairly recent movie of me doing a quick demo for the guys at work.

Re: just wanted to say hello, havent been on here in a whil

Hey Danny,

Just thought I'd share my latest innovation. A travel box I made up for my HK450. Basically a 6x6x24" box that holds the heli, charger, spare batteries, tach, and a few other odds and ends. My tank bag holds my Tx and a 120/12V transformer for the charger (we have 120VAC at the field).

Now I can combine my two favourite hobbies!

Re: just wanted to say hello, havent been on here in a whil

your video is not working, i been flying inverted and all kinds of stuff with my SR, finally got brave enought to try it with my 400, i been crashing the crap out of the SR trying to learn all kinds of crazy stuff. ok your video worked this time, that looks like its really smooth, i dont know about your carrying case, i think it would rattle around in there too much lol.

i flew with a guy that has a t rex the other day and he was damn good...

Very nice flying. I swear something that looked very similar bounced off my face shield a few miles past Kankakee. Can you carry a payload on that thing (like a small video camera?)
