Even though I loaded them in the right order, they've appeared in the wrong order. :??:

Re: biker killed by pheasant

That is very sad to read. Just one more of the potential risks of riding that we accept or reject and stop riding.

Re: biker killed by pheasant

My first time out on my GZ in the country, I flushed a flock of sparrows off the side of a tree lined rural highway. One hit me in the shoulder with surprising force. I was wearing a half helmit and can only imagine what the result would have been if it had flown into my face.

Try this tongue twister..........

I'm not a pheasant plucker or a pheasant plucker's son, but I'll keep on plucking pheasants 'til the pheasant plucker comes.

Re: biker killed by pheasant

Wow. What a tragic accident. That's awful to read. I've worried about this very thing happening to me (I'm weird that way). But we have some freakishly brave birds in Minnesota. Just the other day two ducks were flying head first into on-coming 65mph freeway traffic just a few feet above us. I ducked (no pun intended, but I guess it's there) when they flew overhead on my motorcycle and checked my mirrors to see if the duck hit the moving truck behind me (which, of course, was a considerably taller vehicle on the road than me on my motorcycle). The duck didn't hit the moving truck behind me, but the event re-enforced my fear of this type of thing happening. Oy. I'm fascinated and fearful of birds all at the same time. Drives my wife nuts. "What's with you and birds?" she often says. LOL.

....thoughts and prayers go out to Matthew Johnson's family.
