Carburetor Teardown - Help Requested

I successfully took off the carburetor and dismantled it, taking photos and labeling along the way uploadfromtaptalk1424653595614.jpg

My problem is the vacuum hose attachment. I took the hose off without a problem but this black plastic piece isn't coming loose. The manual doesn't mention it - I tried penetrating oil and needle nose pliers but no dice. Also tried needle nose vice grips but that didn't work either. Granted, I'm going with very light pressure so as to not damage anything

I wouldn't normally care about removing it but I'm going to dip all metal components and I'm afraid I'll damage this piece. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!uploadfromtaptalk1424654063850.jpg

I can't see your images for some reason or I would be happy to help.

Can you post a link to where they are being hosted?

I just uploaded directly from my phone. Not too tech savvy - unsure where they are hosted. Is there a better place to upload them where you could find it?

I can't recall anyone having a problem with that plastic fitting. If you are not successful getting it out just dip it and hope for the best.

Got it cleaned up, reassembled, and she runs! Three weeks ago I knew nothing about motors....never been so proud of anything in my life. Took a short spin around the block and she felt great.

While I had it apart I shimmed the needle and went an extra half turn on the screw. Never rode it stock but I figure I had it apart so why not.

Next up oil change, new back tire, valve check, and whatever else I can learn about! Thanks for the forum everyone, it's been awesome.
