Re: Motorcycle Jack Stands
the stands are a good idea but you can use small floor jack & role it under the swing arm from the right side once in place the bike will be on the kick stand it works perfect
& it will lift it up hight enough to take the rear wheel off adj chain as for the front tire pull the jack out a little way & lift it up the front tire will spin freeley once you get use to it & how to possition the jack its so easy here we go again it cost to much no it dosnt can be used on your auto to. Its the easy way that works keep a open mine try it I put a rubber pad on my jack 1/4 inch thick Login or Register to Remove Ads |

He already took Fawlty's advice, his last time here was more than a year ago. Mounted the pad on his keyboard real well.

Why am I the only stupid one.
Well, I made these stands but I must be missing something. When I try to slide it under the swing arm on the right side the bottom of the stand hits the tire before it gets under the swing arm. I checked all my measurements and they seem to be right. I can straighten the bike up then push the stand under the swing arm from the right, but this is a little dicey for a one-man operation. Does my stand just lean to much? Has anyone else seem this?
Thanks. |
