Problems? with Rotella T.

Hi it's me again so I started using Rotella T (15w-40) and things started changing in the bike. Like the bike doesn't take as long to warm up when choked, the engine has that popping sounds cars make when there warm (didn't do that before so not sure if it's normal or not) and the engine doesn't sound as smooth as before. Is there something wrong or have I finally gone insane?

I use it in every thing that I own.
5w40 and 15w40.

Now!!!

Oil is oil, as long it is ok for wet clutches it really makes no difference on brand.

You might be unconciously wanting to hear a difference and finally heard what the bike has been doing all the time. As for a faster warm up that means less choke time and a cleaner running engine. Ride it and enjoy it. Rotella is a quite robust oil and both of our past bikes were happy using it. The price wasn't a heart stopper either. Just be sure you change oil and filter at proper intervals as well as checking the oil level on a regular basis.

Just a suggestion to everyone here. I found that packing a couple 250 ml bottles of oil was a good practice. They are small and easy to store especially on a longer ride or trip. You may even rescue another rider on the side of the road who needs a top up. We are all brothers and sisters out on the road.

I have used both and work fine. Do not mix the two. Blue is synthetic. When I add new (fresh) oil I do feel some power but do not notice any other things mentioned. My bike consumes oil so I have to add some oil in between changes.

Actually you can mix oils of different grades, suppliers, synthetic or non synthetic. It won't do any harm to the bike or oil itself. Just be sure the oils are not the Energy Conserving type that are so common in cages.

Mixing dyno and synthetic is how they make blends. It's perfectly fine to mix them, in any proportion you want. Just make sure it's motorcycle specific oil as specified.

I know this is a month or 2 late but the rotella in that picture is 5w-40 would that be better for winter use?

The 5-40 is the synthetic.It will flow better at all temps.
