Hi there

My name's Jeff... been on the GZ250 about two and a half weeks, close to a thousand miles already. I'm LOVING it. I've wanted to ride for a long time and finally got a sweet deal on an '07.

Got one question already, what kind of screw holds down the rear bracket on the passenger seat? Cause mine's missing....
*added by edit* question answered... thanks!

Re: Hi there

Welcome. The bolt on the back of the rear seat is the same style as the two bolts on the front of the rear seat.It is one size larger.

Re: Hi there

Cool thanks! I just dl'd the parts manual too... so I won't have to ask as many dumb questions in the future. How's PEI these days? I camped at the Ovens last summer next to some surfers from up there.

Re: Hi there

Welcome to the forum Jeff.

I got my bike about a month ago, but haven't put anywhere near 1000 miles on it - you must be riding the heck out of that thing! Lol. Have fun, ride safe, and always remember to wear protective gear - helmet, riding jacket, boots, etc. Road rash sucks, and the asphalt doesn't care how "cool" you look.

Enjoy your new ride man :2tup:

Re: Hi there

I had the bike (my first) all of 8 days before a friend invited me to a rally 100+ miles away... the middle day, we rode almost 200. It was all I could do to keep up and my butt was numb by the end, but I gained a ton of confidence.

I'll admit I don't always wear a jacket cuz it's the south and it's brutally hot most days... otherwise, I'm pretty uptight about safety.

Find yourself a good mesh riding jacket and mesh riding pants. You still may sweat some but sweat is not as uncomfortable as laying in a pool of blood if you fall.
