One Off H-D sidecar rig

Ran across a special bike today. A one off 1993 H-D made for a parapalegic rider. The present owner bought it last year after it sat for 10 years. A couple thousand bucks later it was fully gone over and rideable. The bike has complete hand controls and a reverse gear. I didn't get into the nuts and bolts of the bike and it's finer points but the owner said it rides very nicely and is quite a learning experience for a rider who does not need hand controls.
The complete bike was $43,000 new with the sidecar set up and very well done. High points mentioned were an added 2.5 degress rake to the forks, a steering dampner and a disc brake on the sidecar.
For the first 8 years it was only ridden about 31,000 kms before being parked long term.

A big :2tup: to the present owner for giving the bike a new lease on life.

I'm not a fan of sidecars, but that one's pretty awesome. I may have to change my mind and like just one side car.

That's a good looking bike. The side car is another alternative to a trike when the time comes to move from two wheels. That's the kind of rig I'd like to have.

You need some lessons or instructions on how to ride a sidecar rig so you don't tip it over going around a turn.

You are right about that! After years of riding 2 wheel bicycles, I tried a 3 wheeler. It was a whole different animal in the turns.
