It's about time. All of this tech has existed in different places for a long time and has even been available as an add-on or accessory for most bikes. Offering a helmet that can do all of these things from the factory only makes sense.

It's a proper step in the evolution of two-wheeled transport, finally getting on a more even playing field with what's available in the automobile's cockpit.

When do you start the field test? Your input will be interesting.
I would think your initial rides would be very overwhelming with too much info to work with. Just a learning curve kinda thing.
Personally I would just prefer a good fitting helmet and rely on my own senses. I'm an old guy from the Stone Age.

They haven't released who will get to test them yet.

I like the idea of extra info but I am not a fan of the bluetooth addition. Driving a car and talkingon a phone is bad enough, riding and using a phone seems like a horrible idea.

I think there would certainly be a time and a place for the phone call option, but how many times have you hit an open stretch or road and just wanted something else to think about? I don't have a problem with it, if used a the right time.

I can only comment for myself, but when I'm on a long stretch the last thing I want is anyone else bothering me. When I'm riding that's my "me" time.

I can understand someone wanting to be able to take a call though. I just worry about those who think they can multitask more than they should.

I'm with you on that goose. I recently seen a Harley commercial with the bike having a digital dash having similar features.

Happy Birthday alantf and cms
