Squealing Brakes

My front brakes are squealing like crazy. Ive redone the brakes 5x now and i still have the problem.

1. Put new brakes on -> squealed shortly after putting them on
2. Removed brakes, brake cleaned everything, brake lubed and also used brake 'goop' (the orange brake stuff to reduce vibration) -> squealed again
3. Removed again, relubed and regooped. -> squealed after a day
4. Removed once again, same as above. Used more goop this time. -> lasted 2 days.
5. Removed again, this time replacing the plastic backings on the brake pads and regooping. -> lasted 2 days again.

:evil: Any ideas?

The rotor is smooth and everything seems to be working fine. I dont get it.

You might try a diffrent brand or type of brake shoe.
I use these. They don't make a sound and their better than the stock pads.

+1 on the SBS pads. The Suzuki OEM pads leave a lot to be desired, and like BadBob, once I replaced mine with SBS, all noise stopped and has not returned.

Be gentle the first time out with these pads. I almost dropped my bike in my gravel driveway the first time I used them. I locked the front wheel.

I like to go easy for the first 50-100 miles so as not to glaze the pads right out of the gate.

Talked my GZ250 buddies today.

They were telling me that suzuki is known for not greasing the front calliper pins. This can cause the front end to dive while braking. Use a silicone based brake grease since they use rubber seals.

And for squeeling front brakes. Before installing the pads take a grinder and gently cut a small chamfer on the leading and trailing edges. Will have pics when I do mine.
