2008 Silver GZ

Don't think we've seen too many silver ones; kinda looks like a police/military bike. I think the low angle of the sun in the pictures has something to do with that shading though.

Who's in charge of weeds at YOUR farm ?? :biggrin:

A couple of suggestions......from experience:
You probably want to tilt the windshield top toward the back just a bit more.....and if your arms aren't really long (looks like they aren't), you can tilt the bars back a bit too....which will take the shield along with it. If you do that, the mirror and lever mounts probably will need to be rotated a bit to keep them right.

Nice BIG bags. Just be sure there aren't any dangly things flapping around loose on them. The chain and rear sprocket really likes to EAT things like that.......and the result isn't nice. (Wonder how I know that ?? I think the story is still on here.) :roll:

Watch out for gravel and badgers !! :shocked:

The weeds are terrible I know! It's a family farm and appearances are not important apparently...

Yeah I've read that on the forum, the guy I bought it from said the dealer installed them for him but it looks like it's just zip tied on so I'll probably invest in some supports even though its not a problem right now.

Great looking bike with matching helmet! Love the saddle bags, I have the Suzuki ones, not nearly as nice as yours!

For those big bags, check out the threads on here about putting a heat shield on the bottom of the right bag so the hot muffler doesn't burn a hole through it or melt it. You'll be much happier than dealing with a hole in the bag.
How's the visibility of the road right ahead through that darkly smoked lower windshield?
Great practice riding around the farm on the dirt.

Welcome to the forum! Great looking bike, thanks for sharing the pictures. I've got lots of relatives with farms and weeds around the barn just don't get much attention, lots more important matters to deal with!
I'll second the heat shield recommendation. I had a GZ with similar size bags and I burned a hole in mine

lots of trouble to repair, not much to prevent. A simple piece of thin aluminum riveted through the bottom of the bag above the muffler will do the trick.
