Was at my local Kawi dealer today and he had 5 of these in stock. He ordered 8 and sold 3 the first day he put them out. His price was $3000.

It's a scooter re-bodied w/ plastic panels to look like a motorcycle. It's got a CVT, it's not a real automatic transmission like a Ridley is. It's also a Chinese POS w/ an Italian sounding name. I rode one and at 150 cc's it's alot slower than a GZ. They also make a "sportbike" bodied version of the same scooter. The motor is mounted at the rear with the CVT just like their other scooters.

It's a pass for riders of "real" motorcycles. Cute, but no cigar.

Yes I know. he has it in the scooter section with a sign saying "Scooter in cruiser clothing" That's why I added the "retard" smiley. I sat on one and the floorboards seemed to be plastic. The seat had no padding...or if it did it was about half an inch...felt like I was sitting on a board. But the radio sounded good

Sarris, you may or may not be happy to know that the CFMoto V3 is a surprisingly nimble-feeling bike. Yes, it is a scooter dressed up like a sportbike, but the balance and low-end torque of it comes on very strongly, not anything like a normal CVT-based scooter. The handling could use a little bit of tweaking, and I couldn't take the fact that they have highway pegs up front that seem absolutely useless with this design.

The bike would be fun to josh around on, but I don't envision anything serious for very long at all on it.

Fun to ride around the block though. Good looks from the spectators.

Some of the Chinese scooters are made fairly well, especially those made on the island of Taiwan. Because of the price point and the American Walmart mentality they are here to stay.

The biggest draw back to the Chinese bikes be they scooters or motorcycles, is parts. You can have two of the exact same model sitting next to each other, and they will have different parts and they won't inner-change with each other. They could entirely different motors on them. So if something breaks and it probably will your parked until or if you can find the part that you need.

I rode one and it was slow and cheap feeling. It's my understanding that people who buy them recommend that you replace all the bolts and fasteners as they are prone to breakage and strip very easily as they don't meet SAE standards. I've also heard of frame cracking and poor weld joints as well. You have to remember that even at the low price, someone marked up an even lower cost. You get what you pay for.
