Re: It's Snowing in Atlanta in March!

Danny, mud tires are not snow tires. There is a big difference in rubber compound and tread. My Ranger is the same as your 4x4, not worth a darn in snow. With a set of winter ice radials you could climb up a wall with confidence.

I did the Rain-X thing on the Strat today (threatening again.) Got the two in one - cleaned a lot of crud off the windshield. So far no actual rain, which is fine with me.

My luck goes that I don't even have to wax, I just have to wash the thing and it pours buckets.

I'll have to give it some thought, but whatever I've been doing since last Summer seems to have brought plenty of wet weather to the Atlanta area!

Maybe Lake Lanier will fill up and people stop fighting about who the water belongs to and for what use.

Don't knock it! Come June and July we'll probably all be praying for rain. (But yes, I'm sick of the wet stuff too).

Washed the Vstrom in 2008 after the ride to Manitoba. This bike actually looks better when dirty and adds some personality to an otherwise bland/ugly bike. Besides it also makes me look like a more seasoned traveller.

It IS......but they won't.

Yeeeeee Haaaaaawwwww........got in a 6 mile ride today.
Can a trip to Atlanta and beyond be far behind ?!?!?

Need to adjust the shield just a bit and get a "chin cover" but otherwise the snow suit works perfectly. I'm good at least down to 45 now. :rawk:

"My" GZ is back on the showroom floor again.
Whomever bought it last spring, traded up this spring.
