internal carburator part question

Inside the GZ mikuni carb lower body, I am following the disasembly instructions in the manual getting it stripped for a chemical bath. Under the starter jet marked #16 in the manual, there is a brass insert like a jet or a tube, very tiny hole, that has no removal insruction. This insert also has a air hole (in the aluminium body) at the base near the roof of the inside of the lower carb main body (upper opposit end than the lower end the starter jet screws into. Question; does this brass piece come out of the body, is it permanently pressed in or does it have orings that might be damaged by a chemical bath?? --Dan--

Re: internal carburator part question

It is pressed into the carb and does not come out.The only rubber parts are on the starter plunger (choke) cable. You are good to go.
