Red Line

Putting on a tach on my bike today. Can anyone tell me where the bike red lines ??? Thanks in advance Be Safe JIM

I believe that it is 8000 RPM.

I see that 8000 is peak hp, but I think there are a few more rpm's after the peak.

I would personally err on the safe side and stay with the maximum torque rpm as a rule of thumb. No point in reving the life out of the engine trying to produce power when the peak torque has been attained. Of course than is not written in stone. You will find there will be times when you wind it up to climb a long steeper hill than requires a good run to get to the top. Or just drop a gear and ride a little slower up the hill. Different situations will dictate what you do.
