Condensation in Helmet Windshield

Hi , does anyone have any tips in preventing the helmet windshield from fogging up inside ?
I notice this always occurs when I'm traveling at a lower speed even though the helmet vent is open.
Is there anything I can apply to the inside of the shield to stop this from happening ?

Cheers,
Shane

Yes, but is the visor vent open?

Many are arranged with a "stop" that holds the visor open about a 1/2 inch.
Even if it doesn't have that notch, the hinges might be tightened snug enough to allow you to open it a bit and have it stay there.

There are products (chemicals) that are supposed to stop the fogging but I haven't tried any.

Theres lots of anti fog sprays out .... couldnt tell you which one lasts more than one ride. Stuff i got worked one day, re apply, worked one day, re apply. Bleh.

But, if you are ever in the market for a new helmet, take a look at Scorpion helmets. The anti fog shields on those are the best.

I use a pinlock screen. You can't even steam it up deliberately.

Put a tiny bit of dish (drop or two) washing liquid on the inside of the shield. Spread evenly with your finger. Polish until clear with a clean dry soft cloth. Don't rub the soap off.Micro fiber cloths work good for this.

This is way cheaper and more effective than anything I have ever used.

Most anti fog coatings break up the surface tension of the watter so it sheets instead of forms droplets so you can see through it.
