Move forward controls back?

2000 GZ250. Wife's bike.
She doesnt like that the foot controls are so forward. She would like them more directly under her, like what would be on a standard motorcycle (Suzuki GS or Honda CB-Nighthawk)
Is there a kit?
Suggestions?
Thx

Can't recall this ever coming up before. I seriously doubt there is a kit available. How tall is your wife?? Does she actually find it hard to reach the foot pegs?? A thicker soled riding boot may be of some help.

People have fashioned brackets to move the controls further forward, or to move them up slightly, but moving them back under the seat would require a lot more work than I think most people realize.

Just have her spend more time on the bike and get comfortable with the factory setup. Unless she's way too short or way too tall, they'll serve her just fine.

She is 5'3". It fits her fine, but she is uncomfortable with how forward they are. Its like that feeling when you are used to riding a motorcycle then switch to a scooter where your legs are directly in front of you.
She is a new rider and she just finished her Basic Riding Class over the weekend, where they had her on a Nighthawk 250, and she loved where the pegs were.
Thanks for the input.

So ........ She's a new rider. She's only ridden the bike with pegs set further back, so she's probably still nervous about riding anything that feels the slightest bit different. Who's to say that when she has more riding experience she won't change her mind (like most women ) and want them putting back the way they were. If it were me, I'd try to persuade her to give it a chance, until she's chalked up a few more miles, and see what she says then. I'm afraid that if she truly wants to be a biker, she'll need to get used to different bikes, and not just the one she trained on. Try and persuade her to try and build up her confidence on a bike that's set up as the designers planned it.

Gotta agree with Alantf. More saddle time is required. Lynda trained on a Honda 250 but much preferred the GZ in every category.

It is all about what you get used to riding in many cases. When I rode Lynda's GZ home for her, I had a hard time finding the pegs for a while. Too far forward compared to my Vstrom. By the time we got home I was just so comfy I didn't want to get off.

Lynda wore Red Wing riding boots with a good thicker sole. Heavy to walk in but perfect for the riding. Overall, the proper riding gear will inspire confidence and better riding skills. With armored riding gear and less chance of getting hurt in an oops she was free to concentrate on just riding and singing to herself. Singing was so funny.............we had intercoms and she forgot I could hear her when she was in her personal zone.
