Not being American, I thought that the name, Forrest, had been made up for the movie. It's a cultural shock to find that it's a real name. (we tend to be a bit more conservative in England - Bill, George etc ) :2tup: :2tup:

But Alan, the origin of "Forrest" as a name is British. Much like Bevis, Garfield, and Grover.
Topping the American name list are the likes of; Sean, Hunter, and Juan
