Is the Head Rebuildable?

Just wondering if anyone has had one rebuilt...

I took mine down to the machine shop, this is a before picture...It started up fine for me yesterday, but like I said I haven't had it on for long. For me it was $90 labor plus $126 for valves.

That's not too terrible. How many miles did the motor have on it?

It has 27,000 miles on it. I bought it recently not running. One of the valves had broken off into the cylinder and was smashed up against the head.

Holy crap! Sounds like it was ridden hard? I'm not sure how many miles these motors are good for though.
