I have a 2004, purchased used in Feb. 2006. First bike, use it mainly for commuting. I live in Littleton, Colorado. Dealer said you'll be back in 6 months to buy something bigger. Wrong!! This bike is a keeper. I won't try to take it up in the mountains, or on the interstate, but otherwise, it's great. Put 1,500 miles on it so far and I'm feeling a lot more comfortable than when I started.

Hey Mr. Forum Leader, my parents live in Allentown!

thanks again for this site, looks very nice and it will be a great resource.

Robert, I'm sure I could ride it in the mountains. Just like I could ride it on the interstate. However, I think it is a little underpowered for that. Have you ever been to the mountains of Colorado? The GZ is happier on the flatlands. And Denver is basically flat.

I've driven in mountains Utah, Kalifornia, Washington and the eastern US. While I have seen roads I would not ride a GZ on I have not driven on a highway (except interstates and the like) in the mountains I would not ride my GZ on.

I don't drive anything on interstate highways unless I must. I don't like them.

hi mark, the dealer tried his best to sell me a bigger bike when i bought myGZ. glad i didnt listen. 72mpg. cruises at 65 no problem. its a great bike. if you havent read the story of the GZ'er that rode his bike to alaska from florida you need to. it's on yahoo's GZ250 forum. GZ's rule....THE HOG SLAYER
