 Re: Tag-o-rama Gone Global
There could be a leftover houseboat somewhere around Baltimore, but no floating homes, many Maryland counties have outlawed them, they're afraid the Chesapeake Bay will get polluted... Google Maps only gives me regular boats galore, in the marinas. Finding one in MD or DC is like finding a needle in a haystack.. I read about some of them in NJ, that would be the closest then.

 Re: Tag-o-rama Gone Global
not bad Music Man. I'd say that a floating home is basically a small cottage that's built on a pontoon system or some other kind of floating foundation. They take up residence at a marina and pretty much stay put. They have no drive system and need to be towed around. Here's an example: OTOH, a houseboat is basically an RV on pontoons with a fairly strong diesel engine to push it around a lake, usually rented. You'll see these pretty much anywhere there are large lakes attracting vacationers. Here's a good example:

 Re: Tag-o-rama Gone Global
OK, the floating home tag has gone on long enough. Here's another floating home tag: and here's a new tag, a roadside vending stand (like for flowers, apples, etc.) For some reason this one is not active, but that doesn't matter; active or not, and whatever produce.

 Re: Tag-o-rama Gone Global
I can't believe this tag sat here this long this time of year, but I finally got out of "Hotlanta" this afternoon and out to where they have roadside stands, this one is in Adairsville, Georgia For the new tag, how about a motorcycle dealership that sells more than one brand. This one is on Cloud Springs Road in Catoosa county Georgia. If you think Harley's are expensive, you should go inside this dealership.

Found tag: multi-brand motorcycle store. Attachment:
Speedscycle_Elkridge_MD.jpg [ 506.42 KiB | Viewed 156 times ]
This is Speedscycle, our local Moto Guzzi and Ducati dealer on Rt. 1, near the center of historic Elkridge, MD. Elkridge used to be a seaport, until the Patapsco river 'silted in' (i.e. was blocked with Baltimore's dredge spoils and trash) downstream. It's Sunday morning, they're closed and have no bikes outside. Peeking inside, they now have the beautiful new black Moto Guzzi V7 Classic New tag: Music Store, that is, one where they sell musical instruments (guitar, drum, flute, clarinet, etc.). So, NOT a CD/Record store (if they still exist). Attachment:
Mike's_Music.jpg [ 577.08 KiB | Viewed 156 times ]
This is Mike's Music, at Rt. 103 & Rt. 104, in Ellicott City, MD.

 Re: Tag-o-rama Gone Global
Hmmmmm.... I can find at least 3 within 1/2 hour of each other here. And they are sprinkled all the way along I-5 through Washington State. OTOH, Peoria seems to be your closest, Easy; sorry about that. How about if I open it up to include ANY gambling establishment, like horse tracks, dog tracks, and bingo halls?

Fair enough. I'd be in the same trouble if you tagged a nuclear power plant.

 Re: Tag-o-rama Gone Global
There are plenty of gambling establishments around here, problem is, none of them are legal, so no signs or advertising to take a picture in front of. Guess I'll leave this one up to you Vegas, Atlantic City or Indian Casino area folks.

They are a lot more common than that; there actually are quite a few in a ring around me.......but the radius of that ring is about 90 miles. I do have a Nuke power plant not too far down the road; maybe I'll get that one soon !!

 Re: Tag-o-rama Gone Global
Why not open the present tag up to convenience stores? Dollar for dollar there's probably more gambling going on in those than in all the casinos put together. Half the time I go to buy a paper I have to wait in line for some lottoholic buying $20.00 or $30.00 worth of tickets.

burkbuilds wrote: Somebody must live near a casino. Come on men,(and women) let's get this tag going again. It's not that I haven't tried. Looked for bingo parlors; none present anymore; there used to be one. Looked for Amvets, etc. with Bingo signs; nope. Then even looked for gas stations with a lotto sign in the window.........after a half dozen of those, I filled up my tank and went home. Has it been long enough that we can fall back to the previous......or the latest tagger could post an alternative ????

Thanks for making a good effort at finding something Easy. I'm not sure how this works (or fails to work) when a tag goes this long without anyone getting it.

 Re: Tag-o-rama Gone Global
I went past TWO casinos on the way back from Palomar (Indian Reservation variety) and I think the timing was correct. I almost took a photo of one (Wanda Sykes was gonna be a "headliner".) I just wasn't paying attention to the game. Here's a suggestion - incorporate the "current" tag in the site heading somehow so people see it regardless of whether they click the thread. (FYI, there's a ton of casinos in CA. I'll bet you Busy went past one this weekend.)

Sure shows what a diverse world we live in, eh? Old tag: Casino (gaming facility) New tag: Courthouse (could be any building that contains the courtrooms) I'll bet even Tenerife has a courthouse

 Re: Tag-o-rama Gone Global
ok first time doing this so here is the previous tag a court house: And here is the new tag. This is kind of the same catagory that I just saw on the first page when I got back from my ride. It is a park that has multiple monuments to the vietnam war, World War II and 9/11 so I guess you can say the tag is a park with different monuments they dont have to be related to any war. couple other shots from the park:
