Roger! I have rubbing compound (2 flavors actually) I might try the goo be gone, but I thought that stuff was pretty much Naptha (mineral spirits).

I don't know what's in it, just know it works !!

P.S. Naptha (white gas) is not the same as mineral spirits. Similar in some respects maybe but not the same.

Yeah, I don't know the differences either.

I'm a guitar player and hack luthier and I always use Naptha to get yuckies off my guitar finishes. Usually Lighter fluid (like Zippo or Ronsonal) is the purest but even Charcoal lighter fluid, which according to Kingsford is 99% Mineral Spirits, works fine on laquer guitar finishes. It didn't seem to hurt the GZ paint Job either :tup:

I'll bet that may even be a wax build up around that old sticker, but you'd think that would come off pretty easilyy. I'll get after it tomorrow. I really don't think it's the same stuff that was on the back of the sticker itself.

I'm pretty sure the rubbing compound will get it off no matter what it is!!

WD40 is the very thing for removing and losensing (without damaging) almost anything and everything!!!

There's not much good old WD40 canny get off for sure!
