AlanC makes a good point, and if you are confident you are going to want to keep riding a GZ for quite a while, then you could keep the one you currently have for parts, or slowly part it out and recoup some money off of it, either way sounds better than dropping a large sum on a used engine, or rebuilding yours.

You should make up a Google map of it and post it here. I recently did a family road trip from Abbotsford, Canada down to Austin Tx and back and the google map of it is pretty impressive. |
