Added another one to the stable.

2007 Honda Shadow 750 Spirit.

Vance & Hines Straightshot Exhaust, Stage 1 jet, Cat's Eye taillight. Soon to have a 37t rear sprocket/chain, a new headlight and some tiny LED accent lights for nighttime. I'm not going all out chopper like Dupo though, any customization will be toward the musclebike arena.

The GZ and the Ninja aren't lonely anymore. More to come.

Looks like a fun one.

Re: Added another one to the stable.

What little I've ridden it, it's not as much fun as the Ninja, but it is a completely different style of ride.

Nice. I like the color, nice and understated.

I can't decide if I want to move up to a Shadow or Boulevard when the time comes later this year or early next year.

You could always drill some holes in it. ;)

Is it really? Will it pass the broom handle test......that is will a broom handle (or similar) inserted in the rear encounter an obstruction before it gets to the first bend in the pipes ? If not, then it has no "real" baffles.

Good looking addition to the stable. Are you trying for one of each manufacturer ? lol.

Welcome to the shadow owners club.

Those V&H straightshots are the shit. V&H are prob the loudest of the aftermarket pipes. If you get addicted to the sound ... Big City Thunder makes some awesome baffle replacements.

That one looks like a nice middle ground between the GZ and the Beast. I sat on a few of those at the KYSH dealers when I was shopping. I think there was a similar one with slight different styling... Aero? memory fails me.

I'll have to keep an eye out for used one. Carb or FI? How big is the gas tank?

Forget the bikes, I want the garage and driveway.

Re: Added another one to the stable.

Alan, you are right. It seems like a very confident step between a GZ and a roadbeast. It's a Shadow Spirit, carbed. Also the last of the chain drives for that model.

Did I mention that it was cheap?

Its amazing to see a stock spirit then look out the window at mine and see how far away i have mine from the original look.

Stock or custom, they are awesome bikes.

Oh boy do I ever have issues. Issues and issues and issues. Motorcycle Consumer News, BMW Owners News, Concourier, American Motorcyclist, Cruiser Magazine, and others in the basement I've forgotten all about. Seven years. That's a lot of issues. And that's just from one hobby, never mind all the others. Ya gotta have real issues to have that many issues.

Better a collection of motorcycles than a bevy of indiscreet cocktail waitresses, D-list skanks and porn stars. A much cheaper distraction and much less likely to result in having dental work (and SUV aeration) performed by one's wife with a golf club.

I must have missed #4. Do you have one each of the Japanese manufacturer's now?

Yup, motorcycling is cheaper alright. On the other hand, riding a cocktail waitress requires very limited safety gear, is more fun while it lasts, and is unlikely to get anyone killed outright. It produces very little emissions, and is not known to be harmful to the environment (assuming one takes reasonable precautions to prevent contributing to overpopulation). It uses only renewable energy sources. Both hobbies involve adroit handling of curves, speed control, balance, and some degree of physical and mental skill. On the down side, the babes usually require more preventative maintenance systems (or PMS). But, honestly, which would you rather be doing right now?

Nice collection of bikes, by the way.

The jacket is new also. A First Gear TPG Ranier from NewEnough's closeout. $149. I think it was one of the last XXL yellows.
It isn't as yellow as I wanted it to be, but it's damn warm and cozy in 33 degree weather.
