Newbie From Pennsylvania

Hello from Pennsylvania

I Just bought a 2005 GZ250 From a local dealer on tuesday. got my motorcycle permit on wednesday. Picking the bike up today.
Ive been riding dirtbikes from age 7 to about 15. Got to big for my bike and didnt have the money to buy a new one so I stopped riding.
Recently decided I wanted a motorcycle but since it was my first motorcycle I didnt want to go to crazy, so I decided to get a GZ250. Read alot of good reviews on it.
Taking the Motorcycle safety riding class starting next week, and once its completed and I pass I automatically get my Motorcycle License

Welcome jslatts. You will find your dirt bike experience is valuable for street riding. The GZ is a great way to get onto the street and hone your skills to survive the half blind cagers.

Just remember not to stick your feet out in a turn. A friend of mine did that the first time on a motorcycle instead of a dirt bike, popped up about 5 feet in the air when his foot caught pavement and came down hard, face first.

Welcome to the forum. Coffee's in back, make a new pot if it's empty, and avoid the poppyseed bagels ;)

What do you mean "half blind cagers"? All of them are blind except those that ride motorcycles. lol

Welcome to the forum from South Carolina. Ride safe.

I stand corrected. I will also further correct my statement by adding the "Only" cagers who do notice bikes are LEOs who ride or have ridden. I have actually been pulled over because a LEO was wanting to see my bike a bit better since it was on his short list and wanted my opinion.

help me out here, what's a LEO? (am assuming it's an acronym and not a reference to his astrogical sign)
