Replacing chain and sprocket....

2009 GZ250 just about 17k and I'm going to replace the chain and rear sprocket asap.
I am going with this chain:
Suzuki Marauder GZ250 1999-2010 O-Ring Chain - Yellow (yes, yellow).
High Quality O-RING Chain by Vxxxxx Motorsport
Solid rollers and bushings work harder and last longer
Reinforced rollers endure high impact
Quad-stake riveted for exceptional shock absorption
Unique protruding bushings designed to reduce kinking and extend O-ring life
Chains are pre-stretched and shot-peened
Tensile Strength: 8,500 lbs
Material: Alloy Steel
Links: 110
Rivet Master link is included (Riveting tool may needed , Not Included)
Color: Yellow
Fitment: Suzuki Marauder GZ250 1999-2010

And this rear sprocket:
JT Sprockets Steel Rear Sprocket - 41T

Should I think about replacing the sprocket carrier / the "cush drive" thing? Looks like these are only available used... How can I tell if mine needs replacing? Also, I replaced the front w/ the 16t about 2k ago. Will a new chain affect that at all?

Thanks!

Re: Replacing chain and sprocket....

If you can move your rear sprocket more than 1/2" back & forth you may want to replace the Cush drive. It takes up the play/shock in the drive line.If you don't have much play, your fine.A new chain will not be affected by the new sprocket you installed earlier.

;) :)
