Great!
Sounds good - I look forward to seeing the cans and your bracket design. Could be my next project, the slanted vinyl bags I currently have on there are fairly useless for carrying anything of size...

Any effect on ride or stability?
Quimrider,
I have been thinking about BadBob's ammo can storage for a while. Your idea is an interesting twist, my concern is how moving the weight behind the rear axle effects the handling and...

True for cars!
Easy I know what you say is true for cars, so I imagine it might also be true for bikes. Dealers will sell you the blanks, but most don't have the cutting equipment to make the keys themselves, they...

Same issue!
I bought the Susuki blank and had the local Lowe's guy put it in his machine. He cut it four different times, first nothing moved, then it somewhat moved, then one side worked and finally no side...

And therein lies the rub!
Right Jaime,
I am with you on that. I know the sprocket will not add any speed to the top end, in fact, it may even cost me some speed. The sprocket will merely increase the smoothness of the...

my cautious and basically lazy nature  Since I really don't know how a bike should feel when properly tuned and tightened (yet), I want to remove as many extraneous variables as possible...

Thanks BadBob
I'll take a look at their online offerings-my luck, they'll arrive just when the weather changes. Finally received the 16 tooth sprocket this afternoon, but I am going to hold off on installing it...

Ouch - what a difference!
Well, I did get a chance to read up on the chain tightening and went out to check. My chain was so slack that I couldn't even get an accurate reading because it hit the frame when I lifted it and...

No worries Water Warrior
Even as a 12-year-old, I had a healthy respect for gravity, speed, and friction burns... so I guess you will have to wait a bit longer before you get my bike

Young at heart perhaps, but 20 years of Naval service and another six or so years in front of college students has frayed most of my edges and dulled most of the sharp ends. Luckily, on the bike I...

ORDERING INFO!
BadBob started a new thread in the Mod's section stating that the JT 16T sprocket is discontinued and that Sprocket Specialists did have some. I did a little legwork on that and found out a bit...

Thanks for letting us know BadBob. I just called my dealer and asked them to check it out and convert over to the Sprocket Specialists. Sort of a foolish decision on JT's part considering that they...

Any excuse for new tools :)
So long as I can keep making it run better, sound better, or ride better... I am a happy camper. And if we throw in the excuse for new tools -- it is worth any frustration!

Lower Oil Results: WORSE!
Just got back in. The clutch slippage is worse, now occuring as low as third gear whenever I am going up a hill, popping the throttle or otherwise putting a heavy load on the system.
